Changing Our World for Christ with Mars Hill

In this “Series of Unfortunate Events” we had hoped this was simply “A Dream Within a Dream”, while we watched the “Death of a Salesman” as businesses were shut down. There was no “Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker”, “Riki-Tiki-Tavi” or “Harriet” to save us. Being cooped up with the family at times felt like a scene out of “Knives Out” or “12 Angry Men”. In this dystopian “Twilight Zone”, “Everything I Ever Wanted” was “Turning Out” to be just...toilet paper.

Feeling a bit trapped in Maus with “A Silent Voice” we knew we needed “12 Rules for Life: An Antidote to Chaos”. So, sadly we said, “Goodbye Yellow Brick Road” to NITOC ‘20 because the “Algorythm” of the experts said we should all stay “Home”. As we wandered through the “Anti-Mass”, we soon realized we are no longer “Orphans”, because like “Finding Nemo”, our own Heavenly Father is looking for us. And while “We Are All Homeless” here on earth, we know this is not our true home.

On our voyage like “Ulysses”, we chose not to be “The Picture of Dorian Gray”. But instead we contemplated “What a Wonderful World” we have through “The Perfect Imperfection - The Art of Healing”, because Jesus is our “Bridge Over Troubled Waters”.

We hope that you enjoy our new Mars Hill topics as much as we do.

And by the way, did you know we have a Mars Hill Subcommittee? Thank you for the contributions of our Alumni. You bring so much insight! Your Stoa Speech Committee
